In our organization, Managed Engine Applications Manager acts as our all-in-one monitoring solution. It efficiently oversees both on-premise and cloud tenants, providing real-time alerts for proactive issue resolution. Managed Engine Applications Manager excels in monitoring virtual machine databases and general system health. However, it isn't designed for monitoring items like UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems. Its strengths lie in optimizing IT infrastructure, while UPS monitoring would be better suited to managed engine opsmanager.

Rarely do we give reviews on software solutions, however, I feel this particular application deserves some praise. First let me say, software selection is not an easy process. You do not know what's out there better, until you've tried it. ManageEngine is one of those applications that's somehow under the radar until you see it in action, or it's talked about by an IT Pro. The use of the many functions of the central interface is actually made with common sense. Not too many options to distract you, but enough to get the job done if you need it. There is a plethora of options and solutions for just about every remote management task you can think of. Its ease of use once configured properly is also surprising. I can honestly say that this software works like a charm. You can get the data you need rather quickly, perform important tasks using automated tools and keep everyone happy. It's like AD on steroids with some networking built in. Like I said, many solutions out there, and until you try this particular one, you'll be missing out big time. We're satisfied and plan to continue recommending it to clients.
  • Remote tools.
  • Task automation.
  • Patch management.
  • Ease of use.
  • Sensible user interface.
  • Easy configuration.
Well suited for medium to large scale infrastructures. Not sure if a small business would benefit much from this solution. Managing less than 20 clients I think would be a waste.
  • Easy remote management.
  • Automation tools.
  • Sensible interface.

  • Saves time and resources.
  • Saved time equals better use of resources.
  • Better use of resources makes us more efficient.
  • SolarWinds Dameware Remote Support (DRS) and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Microsoft Intune + SCCM)
Other solutions like Microsoft EM and SCCM can be interdependent and cause all sorts of issues and additional costs. I think software should be optionally integrated and work on its own as a standalone solution. I like that ManageEngine allows for specific use of its software and not forcing users into an unneeded license or contract.
